The position includes supervision, leadership and communication, and our internal candidate Gillian Jaeger already has all the credentials we seek. Successful candidate will oversee staff selection and development and collaborate productively with the colleagues who already really like Gillian. Position reports directly to the dean of students, who has a fear of the unknown.
Human Resources is telling us that we have to collect resumes and interview excellent candidates, even though we can’t imagine anyone as great as Gillian could possible apply. In addition, you will be expected to prepare a public presentation at which everyone who likes Gillian will come to make mean faces and ask you impossible questions.
