"I asked the college to provide the resources for us to build an online presence

“I asked the college to provide the resources for us to build an online presence,” said the previous director. “Now the new guy has a quarter of a million dollars and an ‘assistant director of Facebook.’ Yeah. He’s a genius.”

Craig Patchen, the new director of admissions at Jaytown College in Nevada is setting new school records for outreach to prospective students and parents. “We expect to increase our applications by 35% this year,” said proud Jaytown president William K. Pleasant.

Other colleges have begun to follow what is commonly coined as the “Pleasant Model” for improving services.

“We hire a consultant to advise us to fire the current manager, then we provide all the additional resources the original administrator had been asking for for years – but we let a new manager take over so we can get more newspaper coverage for our bold and successful hiring initiatives,” explained Tara Mubelle, president of Rocksaw University. “It’s very Pleasant.”

“Really, how did my predecessor expect to succeed by hiring so few staff and working with such a paltry budget?” said the new hire, Patchen. “I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did.”
