Meghan Branford, mother of college freshman Otis Branford, accidentally admitted Tuesday that her son was wrong. Administrators at Cardinal O’Malley College have made no official statement, but scheduled an emergency meeting to develop a policy for dealing with reasonable parents.

“We were completely unprepared when Ms. Branford called,” said a conduct official who is alleged to be the administrator who first talked to the mother. “We have extensive training programs and lengthy referral-trees that help staff talk to over-involved parents, but we really haven’t spent enough time talking about dealing with sane, partnership-oriented callers. I think I dropped the ball.”
