Workshop participants at the American College Personnel Association convention this week agreed that they have remarkable harmony as a group.
“I attended a session on inclusiveness this morning because inclusiveness is a passion of mine,” said Winifred Wilkins from Chestnut University. “I didn’t really have any expertise in the other topics that were offered at that time so they didn’t appeal to me. At the inclusiveness workshop I knew just as much as the speaker. It was a blast!”
“We were at ‘An Introduction to GLBT Issues’ workshop yesterday,” said members of ACPA’s GLBT support committee. “It’s was like a reunion of all of our favorite GLBT colleagues. The speaker was great and we could all celebrate our agreement with her points.”
“I was hoping a few more majority culture representatives would come to my program ‘New Models of Latino American Support Systems’ so I could introduce them to a new way of considering their current services,” said Juana Verdita. “Still, it was great seeing everyone who attended the Latino Training Summer Institute last year.”
